Let’s meet a CRST driver who’s making a lasting impression for her positive actions on and off the road. Linda Zimmerman has been with CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. for 10 years. She became a Million-Mile Award winner in January 2021. Linda’s part of a dynamic duo. She and her husband, Paul, are past winners of CRST’s Team of the Year.
Linda earned her CDL at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. That’s where she met Robert Blevins, CRST Safety Manager. He was drawn to Linda’s professionalism and willingness to help others succeed. “Linda is a strong, caring woman who has made a positive impact on my career and others’, too. We’re lucky to have her as a driving partner at CRST,” said Blevins.
Linda is known for her safety focus and helped develop CRST’s Women Safe program. She’s always eager to offer ideas that promote driver safety and education.
Senior Driver Manager, Kyle Brockmeyer, says Linda thrives on pressure. “She runs one of the hardest routs at CRST. Linda drives the Donner Pass in northern California several times a week and is always safe. She’s one of the hardest working, trustworthy, and safest people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. I look forward to seeing Linda achieve more safe miles in the future.”
Attitude is everything in the trucking industry. Tyler Goodall, Director – Capacity Development, is Linda’s driver manager. He says positivity is the first thing that comes to mind when reflecting on Linda’s best traits. “She’s relatable, safe, dependable, self-driven, and honest. I can call on her any time to accomplish any task. From shuttling endless trailers to city work to hooking-up to a 2,000-mile load—it’s all done with a smile.”
The energetic professional has a creative side, too. Linda Zimmerman shares cooking tips for drivers through her YouTube channel. Complete with its own theme song, Linda’s entertaining videos offer meal-time inspiration that will brighten your day.
