Job Description –

The Manager of the Riverside Terminal is Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Riverside Terminal consistent with company objectives through balancing workplace experience needs of employees and guests, health and safety accountability, facility financial performance and expense control, effective training and development of students and driving partners, retention and operational excellence of driving partners, security of company and customer assets, risk mitigation, and the preservation of real property value in compliance with the highest standard of professional ethics. the Riverside Terminal is consistent with company objectives through balancing workplace experience needs of employees and guests, health and safety accountability, facility financial performance and expense control, effective training and development of students and driving partners, retention and operational excellence of driving partners, security of company and customer assets, risk mitigation, and the preservation of real property value in compliance with the highest standard of professional ethics.

Responsibilities –

  • Ensure a comfortable and safe facility for all employees and guests by promoting a high sense of customer service, ease of access to terminal leadership, and maintaining a pleasant interior and exterior environment. Promote cross-departmental alignment, collaboration, and resiliency.
  • Lead the safety team to conduct regular physical and behavioral safety inspections, track the resolution of exceptions, and escalate major issues. Promote a total safety culture for the terminal that will integrate into all other areas of the company.
  • Maintain the efficient operation and maintenance of the facility while adhering to budgeted expense guidelines. Escalate potential negative impacts to the forecast. Continual review of expenses, revenues, and allocations for potential reduction, cost avoidance, and strategic asset replacement to reduce future maintenance or operations costs.
  • Lead the team engaged with the training and development of our students and new hires. Oversight of the student experience at the contracted school, effective training and orientation of new hires, management of compliance with DOT requirements, DL-170 employers testing program, and completion of hiring documentation to successfully hand over new hires to student planning. Enforcing compliance with company policies on weapons and substances that cause impairment.
  • Align staff to help answer student and driver questions and solve issues. Promote low terminal dwell times through the monitoring of driver lodging, quickly pairing up drivers, engaging with drivers on workers comp, and monitoring trucks in the shop. Physical tracking down of drivers out of phone communication.
  • Oversee the inbound and outbound vehicle traffic at the facility to ensure the security of company and customer assets and loads, control of BOLs, routing of inbound trucks to the shop if required, and control of vendor and personal vehicle access to the facility.
  • Oversight of lodging staff to provide comfortable and cost-effective in-house or local lodging and local transportation for students and drivers. Promote a high level of customer service and engagement of staff with guests as the first impression of the Riverside terminal.

Minimum Qualification:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years in experience in relatable field
  • 1-2 years of management or supervisor experience preferred
