Manager – Operations
Job Summary: The Manager – Operations is responsible for directing P&L responsibility and leading the dedicated business unit to accomplish company targets and goals for new and existing business. They will be responsible for the hiring and training of new managers for the support of existing dedicated accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct management of a staff of 5-10 Operations personnel and approximately 150 drivers in team operations to lead the dedicated business unit to accomplish company targets and goals.
- Travel up to 25%.
- Oversee training of new managers and drivers and build a strong staff of driver managers.
- Direct P&L responsibility.
- Day-to-day interaction and collaboration with representatives of the dedicated clients.
- Improve the current business model to ensure client satisfaction and cost control.
- Define, document, and hold personnel accountable to account-specific SOP’s.
- Oversee the management and retention of 150 Dedicated drivers to include good driver morale, high level of service to customers, safety, and efficient and profitable utilization of equipment.
- Oversee and ensure compliance in the scheduling of all maintenance and repairs of all company-owned equipment.
- Ensure on-time service to customers.
- Maintain accurate billing and payroll to account for specific contracted rates and driver wages.
Experience and Education:
- 2-3+ years experience in the transportation industry, including experience with TMS, ELD, and Camera systems.
- AA or BA in a relevant field preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coach and develop employees for personal or professional advancement
The pay range for this position is $75,272 and $120,461. A final offer amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location. Typically, selected candidates are hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
