Lead Generation Director (remote)

Role Summary:

The Lead Generation Director is responsible for developing and implementing lead strategies according to company and divisional goals and objectives aiming at accelerated growth.  Position requires expertise in pipeline development and data management, scorecard development and tracking, RFI and NDA management for new accounts and RFP’s.  Position reports directly to Director of Sales Enablement and supports Dedicated sales division but interacts with other departments to include: Enterprise Sales, Truckload, Flatbed, Specialized, Marketing, Safety, Pricing, Credit/Billing, Driver Recruiting, and IT.       


Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop business opportunities with executives at prospective Dedicated customers through lead generation efforts by interacting through telephone, email communications, marketing efforts, etc.
  • CRM management for Business Development (BD) – accounts, contacts, opportunities/pipeline, data reconciliation & advanced find query management.  
  • Evaluate prospective business opportunities using a prescribed customer qualification process.
  • Schedule introductory meetings with prospective executive-level customers and Sales Directors, by successfully communicating our transportation service offerings.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective executive-level customer contacts and sales leads for sales directors; actively maintain the pipeline using the company sales contact database.
  • Meet or exceed sales quota standards set forth by management (e.g., contacts per week, meetings per month).
  • Update/maintain, export, and disseminate weekly business development data for sales and operations groups to include executives.
  • Training/acclimation to CRST new business development directors as needed.
  • Utilize information from various external sources to generate and research new leads for all divisions.
  • Partner with directors of business development in Dedicated and other divisions to cultivate and grow the pipeline to consistently meet company growth targets.
  • Qualify opportunities and assess requirements for all divisions when direct prospect contact is achieved.
  • Support business development and pricing group in completing RFI, RFP and company data within timelines required by customer.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Experience Requirements:

5+ Years within the transportation Industry in a relevent role.
