Business Analyst II /Product Owner

Over the next few years, CRST The Transportation Solution will be implementing significant enterprise wide system and software upgrades. In support of this project, and of future needs, we are expanding our personnel and adding new positions within our Information Technology team, located in Cedar Rapids, IA or Atlanta, GA. We are seeking new IT skills and resources in the areas of help desk technicians, project managers, business process analyst, application administration and software development. Role Summary:

  • Responsible for leading functional design, Workflow, and document 'as is' and 'to be' processes and perform gap analysis that results in detailed user requirements.
  • Conduct use case analysis of the customer needs driving to functional design and data dependencies by interacting with business customers, upstream and downstream system owners to gather and define requirements.
  • Lead development teams in refining the acceptance criteria related to new requirements.
  • Organize and prioritize the product(s) backlog of requirements, manage priority, technical debt, bugs, and standard maintenance in a way that will deliver the key milestones identified on the roadmap in the committed timelines.
  • Engage with application designs, technical leads, and members in implementing the design through the agile delivery process
  • Write acceptance test cases and quality gate check for functional releases
  • Participate in all related Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, backlog management, prioritization, demos, retrospectives, and others.
  • Lead the end-of-sprint product demonstrations that showcase the new features the product(s) is delivering.
  • Work with the team(s) Scrum Master to manage projects by tracking and monitoring progress, risks, and issues.
  • Report on status and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful completion of requirements. Escalate issues and potential missed timelines/scope as necessary.
  • Maintain and distribute release notes to users, stakeholders and other interested parties.
  • Maintain robust product and technical documentation and support other members in the creation of training, change management and marketing materials related to the product(s).

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science / Technology or equivalent experience.
  •  2+ years of experience working as Business Analyst/Product Owner in developing requirements, write use cases and creating requirements documents and process flows focused in custom software development/ Platforms.
  • Experience working with Web/Mobile/ API applications involving customers and business transactions
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and other role-specific tools.
  • Preferred with experience in writing SQL queries, data analysis, and validation.
  • Exposure to working with international team(s) and agile models
  • Exposure to test scenario building and acceptance test cases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Domain exposure to Transportation and Logistics is desired
