Advice from a New Agent: Greg Bowman’s Journey to CRST

Meet Greg Bowman, a dynamic agent who became part of our CRST family in March 2024. Greg's journey in the trucking industry began during his college years and soon turned into a lifelong passion. Over the past 15 years, Greg has built a successful flatbed and truckload carrier business, leveraging his extensive experience and strategic vision.

A Focused Operation

Greg’s business is unique in that it operates without owning any trucks, focusing instead on leveraging partnerships and opportunities. His team of eight employees works diligently to manage operations and deliver exceptional service.

Advice for New Agents

Greg emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and networking for new agents. “Learn everything you can. Keep your ears open. Understand the company you work for and how to sell it. Research customers and remember it’s a partnership and an opportunity. Reach out to old customers and relationships, and know who to talk to,” he advises. This approach highlights the value of knowledge, research, and building strong relationships in achieving success.

A Vision for Growth

Greg is always looking for ways to grow his business, despite economic challenges. He sees opportunities in exploring Mexico freight as a potential area for expansion, showcasing his proactive and forward-thinking mindset.

Unique and Inclusive

What sets Greg’s business apart is its versatility and inclusivity. “We have opportunities to do things for all people. There’s always an option,” he says, reflecting his commitment to providing diverse solutions for his clients.

Why CRST

Greg chose to partner with CRST for two main reasons: the strength of its assets and its family-owned stability. “Assets or the illusion of assets when you’re talking to a customer, and the fact that CRST is family-owned and stable,” he explains. These factors give Greg confidence in representing CRST and building lasting customer relationships.
